After graduating high school, John Margerison went on to study business at the Queensland University of Technology. During his time there, he started his first business venture – a small online clothing store that sold surfing gear and accessories. The business quickly gained traction, and John was able to expand it into a brick-and-mortar store in the heart of Brisbane’s surfing community.
Over the next few years, John Margerison continued to build his business empire, starting several other successful ventures in the retail and hospitality industries. He also became heavily involved in the local startup community, mentoring young entrepreneurs and investing in promising new businesses.

Outside of work, John remains an avid surfer and spends as much time as possible catching waves at some of Australia’s most beautiful beaches. He’s also a keen traveler, and has explored many of the world’s top surfing destinations, from Hawaii to Indonesia.
Despite his busy schedule, John remains committed to giving back to his community. He’s an active member of several local charities and regularly donates a portion of his company’s profits to causes he cares about.
